Grace and peace be with you all, in Jesus Christ our Savior!

The Lord is blessing us with some beautiful weather for the past couple of days and the weekend.  A number of High Schools had graduation last weekend, Oskaloosa has their graduation service on Sunday.  Justin DenHartog is one of our graduates this year.  We wish him God's blessing.  Last Saturday, Catherine DeMarce graduated from Great Plains Lutheran High School, Watertown, South Dakota.  We wish Catherine God's blessing.

Monday our nation observes Memorial Day.  We pray for the families and loved ones of those who gave their lives in service for our country.  We also wish to thank those who have served and are presently serving.  The cost of freedom is not cheap.  Nor was the cost of winning our freedom from sin, death, and Satan's power.  A battle which was won for us by our Lord, Jesus Christ.

Sunday is Trinity Sunday.  Our worship theme is: The mystery of the Trinity serves to comfort all believers in the completeness of salvation.  The Word of God stresses how Father, Son, and Holy Spirit work together within the Godhead to bring saving grace to all people.  Our sermon text is Mt 28:18-20  The Great Commission.  We will use the Athanasian Creed on Sunday.

The Ladies' Aid have set up, in the fellowship area, a display of special occasion greeting cards that may be purchased.  There are cards for funerals, birthdays, anniversaries, etc.  You may purchase one or a number of them as needed.  Each has a fine christian verse or message, usually both.

God's blessing on your weekend.  See you on Sunday!

"The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace."  Num 6:24,25

In Christ,
Pastor
