This first Sunday in Advent, we learn about "The Eternity of Wisdom" in Proverbs 8:22-31. Since before creation, Jesus loved us and Jesus saw the cross, before there was even a cross. Advent comes from the Latin word adventus meaning "coming", which is the translation of the Greek word "parousia" that commonly referred to the second coming of Christ. As Christians we remember the wait of the Hebrew nation for the coming of the Messiah and our own wait for Christ's return on Judgment Day.
