Amos-prophetThis 3rd Sunday in Epiphany we hear from Amos 3:1-8 about walking together with God. We have a special relationship with God and with one another in Christ. God and man cannot walk together, except that we follow the path of God. The same is true of our fellowship with each other as Christians.

Prophet Amos was from the city of Thekoue of the land of Zabulon. He was an uneducated man, a shepherd of goats and sheep, as he testifies concerning himself (Amos 7:14-15). He began to prophesy about the twenty-fifth year of the reign of Ozias, King of Judah, about the year 785 BC (Amos 1:1)

LivingSaints-TheLambThis first Sunday in Ephiphany, we learn that in Is 2:1-5, the Kingdom of the Lord Shall be Established in the New Testament Gospel church and the place where the ways of the Lord are taught. As part of the message we learn that God baptizes us in the Holy Spirit.

The graphic for this week's sermon entry is taken from the image used in our bulletin inserts entitled, "Names of Wondrous Love" This week the name given was "The Lamb". The Lamb that John the Baptist pointed to that day along the Jordan River was Jesus. "Look, the Lamb of God, who takes away the sin of the world!" (John 1:29)
